How To Love The World

For What’s Going On –

It is difficult to love the world

When you do not love yourself, or your life

It is like climbing an icy cliff with nothing but socks on your feet

And fingers smeared in butter

Impossible to reach the summit – if there is such a thing

As the world never fails to open out more and more

Perhaps we can only protect the world

When we learn how to protect ourselves – love ourselves

Gather ourselves up

Like magical sparkles becoming fragile forms of kindling –

A hot chocolate under a winter sky

A little girl waving hello

Legs that move easily

A freshly baked cake

Little treasures we gather up to feather our nests

Perhaps those nests will grow into a strong wooden house

In the forest with an open fire

Perhaps they will be nothing more than a soft and safe bed –

Both are fine

Learning to love can be difficult and painful

It is all too easy to make mistakes

Fall back down the Rabbit Hole

But we must never forget tea by the riverside

And the summer sun and fresh grass under our feet

For that alone we ned to keep walking – and always try our best.
