For Dverse MTB (2/10/25)

Björn here writing on the first real days of autumn, today I would like to challenge you a bit with the literary device of changing your perspective.

World View

The world turns in the sugar-plum sky

It nestles between stars and atoms

Right near the middle of the solar-system

It smiles as it feels the the people tickling its waters and digging its ground

All their tiny movements make its body vibrate

Busy, busy like worker ants they pass their days obliviously

Sometimes the movement makes the world feel strong, appreciated

Sometimes it feels like the people are gouging out its core

Whittling away its foundations for their pleasure alone

Not even considering if by doing so, the world may not be here –

Not today, maybe not tomorrow

But the world cannot speak, make the people change

It can only shine brightly as it always does

Hoping inside that the people who lodge on its mantle

Will one day learn to live on it without harm

To move along with it

And stop it being lost forever

The world never gives up hope on the creatures who visit it.
