Love

What do you love, asks Alice
I don’t need much thought –
Words and you.

I like that you can laugh now
I like that I can too –
Appropriately

I love your tiny warm hands
And your swinging legs
When eating apple pie

I love blue skies and star skies
And to notice them twirling around me

I love that I am trying to leave Wonderland
And sitting by the river

I love blue eyes and cotton near my skin
I love dreaming –
Drifting away

I love comfort and silence
Colourful lights and candles
Glowing beautifully in the darkness

Most of all I love learning –
And how we are crossing borders every day

How magical it feels to grow and blossom –
To at last begin to be.
